About the Event
Scott Greenberg is the host of the weekly radio show "Oh My God, I'm Getting Older and So Is My Mom" in Palm Beach, Florida. The show is syndicated on six stations in New York and Florida. Scott’s award winning book of the same title is available at www.scottgreenbergsenioradvocate.com and on Amazon.com.
After realizing that seniors were - along with their families - making important decisions in times of crisis rather than having planned for them, Greenberg became an advocate for this growing population. Scott speaks to groups on topics related to aging with the goal of helping seniors improve their decision making and planning for the future. His candid outlook and upbeat, humorous delivery make his presentations both educational and entertaining for a senior audience – or for adult children of seniors who are helping their parents plan for a comfortable life in retirement. Scott provides a roadmap to the aging highway with tips on how to avoid the potholes along the journey.
Scott has made presentations to a large variety of organizations including colleges, medical groups, social service agencies and to senior community groups. A list of his speaking engagements may be found here: http://www.omgimgettingolderandsoismymom.com/speaking-engagements.html.
Scott’s goal is to help seniors make thoughtful changes that enhance their aging future, and he certainly has the credentials to share his knowledge and recommendations. When Scott is not recording his radio show, writing books or speaking to seniors, he serves as CEO of ComForcare Senior Services, a private duty non-medical home health care agency serving all of Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties in South Florida and the Jacksonville area in North Florida.
Scott is also quite active in local healthcare initiatives and activities as a result of his business and his radio show. He is Past President of the Florida State Guardianship Association and is currently on the board of the National Guardianship Association. In addition, he is an elected member of the Advisory Council of the Area Agency on Aging and has served on the Alzheimer’s Community Care Goodwill Task Force.
Scott resides in Jupiter, Florida with wife, Irene, of 49 years.
